Brass
Hurricane lamps
These
hurricane lamps are much like the other hurricane
lamps reviewed on the site, except they have brass materials
incorporated into the design of the lamp. For the most part,
they can look the same, and they have finishes that accent
the lamp. But for most of these lamps, the brass construction
in the lamp is easier to note.
Because these lamps are a little more rare,
and sometimes have an added splendor in them, they can tend
to be a little more on the expensive side. However, whether
you buy a hurricane lamp or a brass hurricane lamp, you're
still getting the same great quality and hurricane lamp
appeal.

Comments:
This
lamp gets it's design all the way back from vintage lamps
from the 18th century, and what a design it is. A Baldwin
table lamp design, it comes in an antique finish. The metal
shade also is sliding. Uses one 60 watt "B-type"
bulb, and measures 20" high, with the shade measuring
6" wide and 4" high.

Comments:
This
lamp comes in an antique gold finish, with the glass being
hand blown artisan glass. Uses one 40 watt candelabra bulb,
and measures 23" high, with the shade measuring 11
1/2" in diameter by 15 3/4" high. This lamp also
features that extra touch of a decorative beaded crown top
in gold over a hand blown glass shade with seeded glass.
You definitely get what you pay for here; a definete piece
of craftmanship.
Comments:
This gorgeous hurricane lamp is both decorative and functional. Its base features a polished brass finish paired with elegant Waterford crystal. This lamp is controlled by a hi/low switch. A little bit more expensive then the other brass hurricane lamps featured on this page, but it's quite beautiful and worth it in this editor's opinion.
