Hurricane lamps

Hurricane lamps are called such because of the "hurricane-like" design the protrudes around this category of lamps. A circular design extends around the lamp for the most part; an example of this can be seen below. These lamps can be purchased as candle holders or as modern electronic lamps, with the candle holder design more popular these days. However, only electronic hurricane lamps are mentioned on this site.

Blue chrome hurricane lamp

$126.99 USD

Comments:

A pretty stylin' lamp! At a good cost, too. This 17 inch high lamp has dual full range dimmer switches and uses 75 watt halogen JCD bulbs which are included. The lamp consists of a beautiful spiral upper pole and a down light with a 13 inch diameter shade. This contemporary style blue chrome table lamp will be a lovely addition to any room. Comes in chrome blue, chrome frost, and, polished brass colors. But honestly, you know you want the blue chrome.

Murray Feiss Le Cristal Collection Accent Hurricane Lamp- 8895CC

Comments:

This lamp is kind of cool - looks almost like a medieval goblet! This lamp is 16 inches high and its shade is 6 inches in diameter. The top portion is composed of Alabaster glass so be careful with it. Takes one 60 watt bulb.
